South Croxton Women's Institute

The Women’s Institute meet every month, and speakers have told us about a wide variety of subjects, ranging from cookery and gardening to history and travel. In January we have often invited someone in the village to tell us about their job, and in the Summer months we have been on guided walks and visits to places of interest.

In May we have always held our Birthday Party; when we usually visit a pub or restaurant. We also have a meal out after Christmas, and a theatre visit has often been arranged.

Our Institute is one of eight in the Robin-on-Tiptoe Group, and members from each village attend a spring meeting with a speaker, and an autumn social gathering. Since 1990 the group has held a carol service in one of the churches, and this is always an enjoyable occasion.
